Las Golondrinas are the tourist boats that depart from the Drassanes dock, next to the Columbus Monument, and have been running trips around Barcelona's port since the late 19th century, though the current fleet is, of course, much more modern.
There are two main routes: a short one of about 40 minutes covering the port and the breakwater area, with views of the city skyline from the sea; and a longer one, about 1.5 hours, reaching the Fòrum area along the whole coastline of La Barceloneta and Poblenou.
It's a relaxed way to see Barcelona from a different perspective than usual, especially recommended at sunset, when the light over the sea and the Montjuïc skyline offers some of the best possible photos of the city. No need to book far in advance except in very high season.
